Why this shop exists

I’ll be honest. I’m not a materialist, which might sound a bit odd for a shop owner, right?

But the right things can make you happy.

My heart doesn’t flutter when I see rows of dresses in a chain store. It flutters when I finally find that Barbie Victorian Dreamhouse from 1995 that I always wanted as a little girl. And I LOVE spending hours carefully cleaning out 30-year-old dust with a toothpick.

Right after that, I’ll sit down with a coffee in a mug that might not seem special to most people. But to me it brings back memories of a trip to Japan, when a deer bowed to me for a snack in Nara. Later we laughed about it in the Starbucks around the corner.

That’s why you’ll find a mix of new, vintage, pre-loved, and even old new stock here. Because treasures lie hidden in every quirky corner. And in a world where many people simply don’t have the time or energy to go looking for them, we want to do that for you.

I’m a small shop owner, and with this attitude we’re probably not going to become a huge booming business making mountains of cash. But doing it my way makes me happy. And I want you to be happy too.

So let me go on that little treasure hunt for you — and bring back beautiful finds and stories to tell.
